Casa do Pai – Temporary Shelter Centre
The Bissaya Barreto Foundation, a public-interest social institution supporting children and young people at risk, requested the full refurbishment of an existing building to host the new Casa do Pai – Temporary Shelter Centre.
The project aimed to create a less institutional, more residential and family-oriented environment, ensuring privacy and comfort.
The programme is distributed across two floors: the ground floor houses the social and communal areas, while the upper floor contains the bedrooms and support facilities, complemented by outdoor recreation areas, a vegetable garden and storage.
